Tice-BCG is a vaccine used to lower the risk of getting tuberculosis in persons who may be exposed to the disease.
Indication of Tice-BCG
Tice-BCG is primarily indicated in conditions like Bladder carcinoma, Urethelial cell carcinoma.
Contraindication of Tice-BCG
Tice-BCG is contraindicated in conditions like AIDS,Immunosuppression.
Side Effects of Tice-BCG
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Tice-BCG, which give rise to further complications include Anemia, Anemia, Malaise, Arthralgia, Anemia, Renal toxicity, Leukopenia.,The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Tice-BCG are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Anorexia, Diarrhea, Abdominal pain, Hematuria, Dysuria, Cramps, Nausea and vomiting, Cystitis, Urinary frequency, UTI, Genital pain.
Precautions of Tice-BCG
Vaccination should not be given to pregnant women unless the benefits outweigh the risks. It should be used with caution during lactation. To be most effective, persons who have been vaccinated should stay away from active cases of tuberculosis for 6 to 12 weeks. People with impaired immune systems (due to chemotherapy or radiation treatment) should not receive this vaccine. Inform the doctor if taking any steroid medication (prednisone-type drug) or antibiotic.
