Overview of Pitavastatin
Pitavastatin, a hydroxymethylglutaryl coenzyme A (HMG-CoA) reductase inhibitor (or statin), is a lipid regulating drug with similar properties to simvastatin. It is used as the calcium salt in the treatment of hyperlipidaemias.
