Ticagrelor (Ticagrelor)
Overview of Ticagrelor
ticagrelor is a selective Adenosine Diphosphate receptor antagonist, its act on PZY12 ADP receptor that prevent ADP mediated platelet activation and aggregation. Ticagrelor is orally active, and reversibly bind to platelet PZY12 ADP receptor to prevent signal transduction.
Indication of Ticagrelor
Ticagrelor is primarily indicated in conditions like atherothrombotic event.
Contraindication of Ticagrelor
Ticagrelor is contraindicated in conditions like Hepatic impairment,Severe renal impairment,Hypersensitivity,Bleeding.
Side Effects of Ticagrelor
The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Ticagrelor include GI toxicity, ventricular pauses, Dyspnea.,The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Ticagrelor are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Dyspnea, Hyperuricemia, GI hemorrhage, Epistaxis, Intracranial hemorrhage, dermal bleeding.
Precautions of Ticagrelor
Premature discontinuation of treatment should be avoided lapses should be avoided it should be discontinue 7days prior to surgery discontinue in breast feeding
