Dacarbazine is an antineoplastic drug. Dacarbazine is a synthetic compound that functions as an alkylating agent. All alkylating agents have or can form an alkyl group that becomes covalently bound to cellular constituents. Dacarbazine is effective in the treatment of different cancers to slow or stop the growth of abnormal or cancerous cells. Dacarbazine is used in combination with different anticancerous drugs to obtain excellent therapeutic effects and to minimize unwanted effects or toxicities.

Indication of Dacarbazine

Dacarbazine is primarily indicated in conditions like Hodgkin's disease, Malignant melanoma, Metastatic melanoma, Metastatic melanoma, Metastatic melanoma, Metastatic melanoma, Neuroendocrine tumors, Soft tissue sarcoma.

Dacarbazine should be used with caution in patients with pre-existing blood disorders, liver disease or kidney disease, dental disease. It is classified as pregnancy category C and not recommended for use in pregnancy or lactation.
