Indication of Bismuth Subsalicylates
Bismuth Subsalicylates is primarily indicated in conditions like Diarrhoea, Heart burn, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Indigestion, Upset stomach.
Contraindication of Bismuth Subsalicylates
Bismuth Subsalicylates is contraindicated in conditions like Chickenpox infection,Influenza.
Side Effects of Bismuth Subsalicylates
The severe or irreversible adverse effects of Bismuth Subsalicylates, which give rise to further complications include Numbness, Mental disturbances, Slurred speech.,The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Bismuth Subsalicylates include Constipation, Confusion, Dizziness, Anxiety.,The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Bismuth Subsalicylates are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Nausea, Vomiting, Black stool.
Precautions of Bismuth Subsalicylates
Take cautions for allergic patients. Avoid sunlight contact as Bismuth subsalicylates may increase sensitivity towards sunlight. Donot use if patient is diabetic.
