Overview of Histidine
Histidine is a heterocyclic aminoacid which is essential for infant growth and for some other groups, such as patients with uraemia. Histidine is given as a dietary supplement and also is used in the treatment of gastric hyperacidity when given in combination with other agents.
Indication of Histidine
Histidine is primarily indicated in conditions like Premedication before surgery, Uremia.
Contraindication of Histidine
Histidine is contraindicated in conditions like Anuria,Hepatic coma,Liver diseases,Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Side Effects of Histidine
The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Histidine include Asthmatic reaction, Premature ejaculation, Allergic skin reactions.
Precautions of Histidine
People with liver or kidney disease should not supplement amino acids unless under the direction of a health-care professional.
