Overview of Cinchocaine

Cinchocaine is a local anesthetic. Cinchocaine is also used to treat arrhythmia (abnormal heart beat).

Indication of Cinchocaine

Cinchocaine is primarily indicated in conditions like Hemorrhoids, Local anaesthesia, and can also be given in adjunctive therapy as an alternative drug of choice in Insect bites, Skin irritations, Sunburn.

Contraindication of Cinchocaine

Cinchocaine is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity to any component of product.

Side Effects of Cinchocaine

Cinchocaine produces potentially life-threatening effects which include Circumoral numbness, Cardiovascular depression, Ventricular arrhythmias. which are responsible for the discontinuation of Cinchocaine therapy.,The signs and symptoms that are produced after the acute overdosage of Cinchocaine include Convulsions, Circulatory depression, Methemoglobinemia.,The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Cinchocaine are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Anxiety, Metallic taste.

Precautions of Cinchocaine

Avoid cinchocaine in patients with known hypersensitivity. It should be given with caution to the elderly, to debilitate, to children, patients with epilepsy, impaired cardiac conduction, impaired respiratory function, shock or liver damage. It might be ototoxic and should not be instilled into the middle ear. The application of local anesthetics to the skin for prolonged period or to the extensive area should be avoided.
