Overview of Hesperidin
Hesperidin is a flavonoid isolated from rind of citrus fruits. Hesperidin is used to relieve capillary impairment and venous insufficiency of the lower limb and for hemorrhoids.
Indication of Hesperidin
Hesperidin is primarily indicated in conditions like Breast cancer, Cardiovascular disease, Hemorrhoids, Malignancy, Premenstural syndrome, Ulcers.
Contraindication of Hesperidin
Hesperidin is contraindicated in conditions like Hypersensitivity to the drug.
Side Effects of Hesperidin
The symptomatic adverse reactions produced by Hesperidin are more or less tolerable and if they become severe, they can be treated symptomatically, these include Headache, Nausea, Gastrointestinal disturbances.
Precautions of Hesperidin
Pregnant women and nursing mothers should avoid use of supplemental hesperidin at doses higher than may be found in some multivitamin preparations (about 20 mg) unless such use is recommended by a physician.
